Lakhwinder Gill is a lawyer at Gill Lawyers Group, bringing over 30 years of legal experience in Ontario and a distinguished legal career that began in 1995 in Punjab, India.

He earned his LL.B. from Panjab University, Chandigarh, India, he continued his legal studies in Canada at the prestigious University of Ottawa. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2002 and has been serving clients across the Region of Peel ever since.

Having grown up in a family deeply rooted in the legal profession, Mr. Gill was immersed in the practice of law from an early age, gaining valuable practical insights and lessons from his father, who served as a District/ Crown Attorney in Punjab, India. This early exposure instilled in him a strong understanding of the law and a deep and enduring commitment to the legal profession.

Lakhwinder articled under the guidance of his elder brother and mentor, Mr. Jaswinder Singh Gill, a respected lawyer in Brampton. Who played a significant role in shaping Lakhwinder’s personal and professional journey. His brother’s guidance helped define the values and client-focused approach that remain central to Lakhwinder’s legal practice today.

Lakhwinder’s early practice in India was rooted in criminal and civil law, giving him a strong foundation in legal advocacy and client representation. In Canada, his focus shifted to Real Estate Law, Wills and Estates, and Corporate Law—where he has developed a reputation for practical, reliable, and client-focused legal service.

Holding a Master’s degree in Psychology, Lakhwinder brings a unique and empathetic perspective to his legal practice. This background allows him to better understand client needs and provide guidance in complex and emotionally significant matters—particularly in real estate, where he ensures clients are fully informed throughout one of the most important transactions of their lives.

A fluent speaker of English, Punjabi, and Hindi, Lakhwinder serves a diverse clientele with integrity and cultural sensitivity. He is also a dedicated community contributor, and deeply associated with Panjab University Chandigarh Alumni Association (PUCAA).
